The BBC is host broadcaster at many of the highlights of the
year's sporting calendar.

As host broadcaster we will ensure that rights-holding broadcasters receive BBC coverage and the technical assistance they need. Our production managers co-ordinate projects through every stage from planning to transmission: representing broadcasters' interests with event organisers, arranging relays of BBC coverage, providing on-site facilities such as commentary positions, OB units and microwave, fibre optic or satellite links.
