Health & Safety
Anyone working at an event where the BBC is host broadcaster, or where the BBC is providing facilities, must comply with all current relevant safety requirements including but not limited to those issued by the UK Health & Safety Commission and Executive, the Home Office, and any BBC requirements which may be notified. Anyone bringing their own equipment should ensure that it has been tested for safe use in the UK and should have a copy of the safety test/certificate available to give to the BBC on request.

Visiting broadcasters controlling the work of, for example, an ENG crew provided by the BBC must ensure that nobody (neither those working nor members of the public) is put at risk by the work. To comply with UK health and safety legislation, those in control of the work must:
- assess the risks of the work involved and control the risks to an acceptable level;
- ensure that those working have appropriate instructions, information and training to carry out the work safely;
- provide information about the risks and controls to those involved and the arrangements in place for emergencies;
- co-ordinate the activities of those involved in the work.
